Mentors & Inspirations
At Inoculum Bio-Solutions Ltd., our journey into microbial composting and regenerative agriculture has been deeply shaped by the wisdom, generosity, and groundbreaking work of mentors and fellow soil stewards. We are grateful for the pioneers, teachers, and friends who have shared their knowledge and passion, helping us build the foundation of our work today.

Catalyst BioAmendments
The Spark that lit the fire
Our connection with Catalyst Bio-Amendments goes way beyond soil science — it’s a story of friendship, adventure, and relentless encouragement.
Back when we were running our farm-to-fork food truck, our friends at Catalyst were just getting started, launching their company and diving headfirst into the world of microbial farming. Through living on a mountain in Ecuador, cross-country adventures, and even stretches of time living in vehicles together, they sometimes knew Chad better than he knew himself.
For years, as their journey unfolded, they kept telling Chad:
You need to see what we’re doing. This is something you’re going to fall in love with.
And they weren’t wrong. But at the time, life was full. With a growing family, running a business, and the day-to-day of life pulling in every direction, there wasn’t room to dive in — even after we closed the food truck.
But the seed had been planted.
Finally, Chad made the trip out to California to see for himself.
Long story short? they were right.
The moment he saw what they were up to — the compost, microbes, the science, the impact — he was hooked. That trip lit the fire. The same drive that fuelled our commitment to local food systems and regenerative agriculture now had a new focus: restoring soil health from the ground up. This wasn’t just about learning; it was about seeing the bigger vision. Over long conversations, ideas started to take shape, and the next step became clear: The Microbe Bus Tour.
Chad returned home, but the spark had caught. A few months later, he was back in California, ready to hit the road. The Microbe Bus Tour became a journey across the country — connecting with farmers, teaching workshops, making compost, and going deeper into the world of soil microbiology. The world of regenerative soil solutions.
That was the moment everything changed. The passion that had been simmering for years had finally found its direction, and it led straight to what would become Inoculum Bio-Solutions Ltd..
Without Catalyst Bio-Amendments, we wouldn’t be here. Their mentorship, friendship, and unwavering belief in what we could build together shaped the path we’re on — and we are forever grateful.
Dr. Elaine Ingham & The Soil Food Web
A Pioneer in Soil Science
While Catalyst was the spark that lit our fire, Dr. Elaine Ingham’s research provided the foundation for everything we learned. Her pioneering work in soil microbiology and the Soil Food Web has shaped the field of regenerative agriculture, revealing the essential relationships between bacteria, fungi, protozoa, nematodes, and plants.
Her decades of dedication to making soil science accessible have given growers around the world the tools to restore soil function. We are deeply grateful for her contributions, which continue to shape the way we approach soil health and composting.
